The Board of
The Commissioners
reappointed members to the Defiance County Planning Commission. Those members included Jim Harris, Noble
Township Trustee. Jim’s term expires in
January of 2009. Robert Armstrong, City
of Defiance Mayor. Mayor Armstrong’s
term expires in January 2009 and Roger Mohr, Realtor. Roger’s term also expires in January of
2009. Jeff Leonard was appointed
alternate for Mayor Armstrong.
Also received a
report from Jane Tadsen, Defiance County Recorder regarding the filing fee for
zoning amendments. The fee is no $20.00
for the first page and $8.00 for each page thereafter.
Becky reported that
new evacuation signs have been properly placed in the Defiance County East
building.
Also reported that
the Sheriff submitted a letter indicating that his office will need to purchase
four (4) new vehicles to replace existing cruisers with high mileage. The old vehicles will be sold at auction.
A wall was taken out
to expand the offices at the Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Westrick indicated that the
renovations are now complete and felt everything turned out very well.

passing of a resolution for the completion of the purchase of the Sanitary Pump
Station and Force Main Constructed under Phase 1 of the R & L Enterprise
Industrial Park Development. This
