The Board of
8:30 A.M. General
Session - The Commissioners were presented with various resolutions and
documents for approval. Commissioners
also reviewed agenda items, discussed upcoming meetings and reviewed and
updated the calendar of events.
9:30 A.M. Bob Arend, Arend Enterprises discussed the Manatron Agreement with Commissioners. Mr. Arend reported the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Russ Herman was currently reviewing the document and will forward to Bob upon approval. The agreement provides software updates and training for the Auditors and Treasurers staff.
Mr. Arend reported that it is important to upgrade the current system within the next (2) years as support for the current system will no longer be available.

opened bids for the 2006 Crushed Aggregate as well as 2006 Bituminous
Materials.

Board of Commissioners will take the bids under advisement and award the bids
at a later date.
10:30 P.M. Lisa
Karcher, Maumee Valley Planning Senior Planner held the first Public Hearing
for the 2006 CDBG Formula Funding Program.
Lisa presented a
list of programs that are available to local counties, villages and townships
for application during the State of Ohio FY 2006 program year. Lisa explained that to be eligible for
funding, all projects must meet one of the three National Objectives. The objective must benefit low to
moderate-income persons, Aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and
blight and meet community development needs having a particular uniqueness or
urgency.

11:00 A.M. Megan Browning, Principal, Public Finance
Representative for Seasongood and Mayer, LLC based in
Lisa explained that
Seasongood and Mayer was ranked as the #1 Ohio Public Finance Investment
Banking Firm fro the eleventh consecutive year as well as #1 Ohio Financial Advisor
for the fifth time in the past ten years.
The Board of
Commissioners will review the materials received from Megan and discuss
upcoming projects that may be applicable to their services.
2:30 P.M. The
Commissioners held a Study Session and invited Defiance City Board of Control
members in for further discussion on the Elliott Road Project. There were no definite decisions made during
the meeting. There will be ongoing discussion
concerning the water and sewer portion of the project.
