DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

MONDAY, MARCH 15, 2010

 

 

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010 in the Conference Room in the Commissioners Office at 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio 43512.  Chairman James E. Harris, Jr. called the meeting to order.  Also present were Commissioner Thomas L. Kime, Laura Howell, Administrator, and Lanie Miller, Deputy Clerk. 

 

The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed various resolutions, contracts and documents.  The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed upcoming meetings.

 

The Board signed a contract with Olglesby Construction, Inc. for the 2010 Pavement Marking for the Defiance County Engineer. 

 

Warren Schlatter, Defiance County Engineer, met with the Commissioners for his weekly update.  Warren informed the Commissioners that a catch basin was installed on St. Rt. 111 and replaced a culvert on Hammersmith. 

 

Greg Reinhart, Defiance County Wastewater Operations, met with the Commissioners for an update.  Greg reported the following being completed during February: cleaned aerator lines at Auglaize Pines, cleaned the check valves at EMA, pulled and cleaned pump at EMA and met with EPA representative for inspection at all plants and no major problems found.   Billed out in February: $43,758.05, collected: $50,072.90 and expenses: $29,248.09.

 

Gary Cates & Kathy Boff, Defiance Regional Medical Center, met with the Commissioners to discuss Sarah’s House.

 

Tony Zartman, Tony Burkley & Ed Straley, Paulding County Commissioners, Mike Winans, Auglaize Sewer District Project Manager, and Greg Reinhart, Defiance County Wastewater, met with the Commissioners to discuss maintenance for the Auglaize River Sewer Project. 

 

The Commissioners viewed a Krause Ditch property in regards to where a large section of trees are located.
