8:30 a.m.        General Session

9:30 a.m.        Gaylon Davis, Defiance County Engineer, presented his weekly update.  He reviewed some of ODOT’s standards regarding the Clinton and Hopkins Street Bridges Projects.  The resolutions passed (above) allow Mr. Davis to sign the engineering specifications and any required documents on behalf of the County.   The group also reviewed information regarding the 2:00 p.m. Reynolds Ditch six-year review meeting in Williams County.   The majority of this ditch is in Defiance County.

10:00 a.m.      Mary Ritter, Job and Family Services Fiscal Director, met with the Commissioners to update them on various Job and Family Services and Workforce Development financial matters.  Ron Mehring, Job and Family Services Administrator and Deb Bresnan, Assistant Administrator, also attended the meeting.  Ms. Ritter is keeping close tabs on the finances to assure the money is being debited from the correct fund lines.

11:00 a.m.      Jeff Strausbaugh, Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney, and Russ Herman, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, met with the Commissioners to review cost allocation information.  The Prosecuting Attorneys submitted information as to what expenses could be billed back to various departments for reimbursement to the General Fund.  The group also briefly discussed the status of the Auglaize River Sewer Project.

2:00 p.m.        Commissioners traveled to the offices of the Williams County Commissioners for a six-year review meeting of Reynolds Ditch and Tile #557.  Jim Harris, Defiance County Soil and Water Conservation District Administrator and Gaylon Davis, Defiance County Engineer, were also in attendance.  As the majority of the ditch lies in Defiance County, the Joint Board of Williams and Defiance Counties decided that the maintenance of the ditch will be turned over to the Defiance Soil and Water Conservation District.  The ditch/tile is approximately 3.5 miles long and is located in Washington Township and Williams County.
