The Board of
General Session –
The Commissioners were presented with various resolutions and documents for
approval. Commissioners also reviewed
agenda items, discussed upcoming meetings and reviewed and updated the calendar
of events.
The Commissioners are announcing the next public meeting for the
courthouse presentation with the Board of Commissioners will be held at
The Commissioners would also like to remind the residents of
Defiance County
Administrator, Becky Wagner submitted her weekly report to the Board of
Commissioners.
Becky discussed the
Pandemic Core Team and its attempt to put together a plan of Continuity of
Government. In doing this, the Core Team
would send a questionnaire out to the County offices requesting information
about the agency, contact person/s information in case of a catastrophic event.
Becky also mentioned
the roof has been completed at the
Tim Houck, Director Defiance County Landfill came in for his monthly
update. Tim reported the total annual
sales to date for the Landfill is $1,556,934.65. Total annual tons reported are 60,361.03;
annual cubic yard total is at 166,273.
Compacted cubic yards total to date is 102,110 and loose cubic yards
are at 64,163. Leachate year to date
total is currently at 472,170.00. Tim also reported the year to date income for
the Hicksville Transfer Station is at $6,719.15.
Kirk Slusher, Ohio Department of Transportation District One Planning
Administrator along with
Richland & Defiance Township Trustees and Warren Schlatter,
Kirk advised the project is indefinitely on hold until another source
of funding can be found. The
Commissioners are going to hold off in making a decision.
Kirk also updated the Board on other projects in the county. Kirk mentioned the
