OPENING:    

 

The regular meeting of the Board of Defiance County Commissioners was called to order at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2002, in the Conference Room of the Board of Commissioners, 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio  43512 by Chairman Otto L. Nicely.

The minutes for the August 1, 2002 meeting were reviewed and unanimously approved as read.

C.                OPEN ISSUES/DISCUSSION

 

Becky Wagner, County Operations Manager/Administrator reminded the other Commissioners of the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, 2:00 p.m. at the One Stop facility on East Second Street.  Stan Searing Workforce Development interim Director and Susan Jackson, interim Director, Mary Ritter, Fiscal Agent and Deb Bresnan, Assistant

 

 

 

Director of Job and Family Services will also be in attendance to discuss various Workforce Development issues.

 

 

D.        APPOINTMENTS

 

8:30 a.m.        General Session –

 

9:00 a.m.,       Commissioners left at this time to attend a mediation regarding the Beagle Club easement.  The mediation is being held in the County’s Law Library, 510 Court Street.  Russ Herman, Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney also attended.
