DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2010

 

 

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010 in the Conference Room in the Commissioners Office at 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio 43512.  Chairman James E. Harris, Jr. called the meeting to order.  Also present were Commissioners Thomas L. Kime and Otto L. Nicely, Laura Howell, Administrator and Lanie Miller, Deputy Clerk. 

 

Russ Herman, Defiance County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, met with the Commissioners for an update.

 

The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed various resolutions, contracts and documents.  The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed upcoming meetings.

 

Warren Schlatter, Defiance County Engineer, met with the Commissioners for an update.  Warren informed the Board that Stever Road and Mulligans Bluff Road are closed for bridge replacements.  Roadside grading work continues on Casebeer-Miller Road, Stever Road and Banner School Road. 

 

Kathryn Truman, Fechko Excavating, Rick Weaver & Ken Maag, Poggemeyer Design Group, and Russ Herman, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney met with the Commissioners to provide an update on the Auglaize River Sewer Project.

 

Amy Galbraith, Clerk of Courts, Morris Murray Prosecuting Attorney and Russ Herman, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney met with the Commissioners to provide an update on the process of collecting fines.  Morris Murray informed the Commissioners that in 2009 there were 259 criminal cases prosecuted to conviction.
