The Board of
General Session – The Commissioners were presented with various
resolutions and documents for approval.
The Commissioners reviewed agenda items, and discussed upcoming meetings
and events.
An operations update was given by the Staff. It was reported that budget
paperwork is being sent out to the various county offices.
The County has received a request from Secure the Call Foundation to
collect unneeded phones for re-use. The Secure the Call Foundation takes the
phones, inspects them, cleans them, charges their batteries and then reprograms
them to be used as free 911 emergency phones. The Commissioners office will
have a receptacle container to collect these unneeded phones and get them
passed onto the Secure the Call Foundation.
The Commissioners have asked the Defiance County Health Department to
hold a Flu Vaccine Clinic for county employees. The clinic with be held at
Defiance County East building. The Health Department will advise of the date
and time at a later date.
A Final Hearing date has been set for the Farmer-Mark Ditch Tile Improvement
Project. The Final Hearing date is Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at
the Farmer Fire Hall in
Jane Tadsen, Defiance County Recorder, reported recording 148 Deeds, 202
Mortgages, 172 Releases, and 10 Power of Attorneys. The total of the month of
September, 2007 was 25,345.40 of which $12,544.00 went toward the Housing Trust
Fund and $12,801.50 went toward the General Fund.
The Commissioners attended the County Township Association dinner last
night at the Farmer American Legion.
There will be no session on Monday, October 8, 2007 due to the Columbus
Day holiday.
