THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2010
The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30
a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 in the Hicksville Village Council Room,
Hicksville, Ohio. Chairman James E. Harris,
Jr. called the meeting to
order. Also present were Commissioners Otto L. Nicely
and Thomas L. Kime, Laura Howell, Administrator, Stephanie Metz, Clerk, and
Lanie Miller, Deputy Clerk.
The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed
various resolutions, contracts and documents.
The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed
upcoming meetings.
The Commissioners’ office received an
Expedited Type 2 Annexation Petition for 0.66 acres of real estate in Defiance
Township into the City of Defiance from Stephen Snavely, agent for the
Petitioners. The petitioners are Rodney
and Connie Rittenhouse.
Laura Howell, Administrator, provided her weekly update to the
Board.
The Commissioners recently received the November, 2010 monthly report
from Cecilia Parsons, Defiance County Recorder.
Cecilia reported the total instruments recorded as follows: Deeds – 155; Mortgages – 257; Releases – 273;
Liens – 24; Power of Attorney – 6. She
also reported total receipts of $34,470.00, of which $16,865.50 is the Housing
Trust Fund and $14,888.50 is the General Fund.
There will be no session on Monday, December 6, 2010. The Commissioners will be attending the
CCAO/CEAO Winter Conference.
