NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY
Notice is hereby given that in pursuance to a resolution adopted on January 18, 2010 by the Hicksville Village Council, there will be submitted to the electors of Hicksville Village at an election to be held in that Villlage at the regular places of voting therein, on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 the question of levying a replacement of two existing levies, .8 mill and 1 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of Hicksville Village for the purpose of PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING FIRE APPARATUS, APPLIANCES, BUILDINGS, OR SITES THEREFORE, OR SOURCES OF WATER SUPPLY AND MATERIALS THEREFORE, OR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF LINES OF FIRE ALARM TELEGRAPH, OR THE PAYMENT OF PERMANENT, PART-TIME OR VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTERS OR FIRE FIGHTING COMPANIES TO OPERATE THE SAME, INCLUDING THE PAYMENT OF THE FIREMEN EMPLOYERS CONTRIBUTION REQUIRED UNDER SECTION 742.34 OF THE REVISED CODE, OR THE PURCHASE OF AMBULANCE EQUIPMENT, OR TO PROVIDE AMBULANCE OR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES OPERATED BY A FIRE DEPARTMENT OR A FIRE FIGHTING COMAPANY at a rate not exceeding 1.8 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to ($.18) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time commencing in tax duplicate year 2010. Said tax constitutes a replacement of two existing levies. If a majority of the voters voting thereon vote in favor thereof, that levy will be first placed on the tax list and duplicated in 2010 for collection in calendar year 2011.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and will remain open until 7:30 p.m. of said day.

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance to a resolution adopted on February 4, 2010 by the Defiance County Commissioners, there will be submitted to the electors of Defiance County at an election to be held in that County at the regular places of voting therein, on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 the question of levying a renewal of 1.1 mill tax levy for the benefit of Defiance county for the purpose of PROVIDING THE BOARD OF HEALTH OF DEFIANCE COUNTY GENERAL HEALTH DISTRICT WITH SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO CARRY OUT IT’S GENERAL HEALTH DISTRICT PROGRAM at a rate not exceeding 1.1 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to ($0.11) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years commencing in tax duplicate year 2010. Said tax constitutes a renewal of a tax levy. If a majority of the voters voting thereon vote in favor thereof, that levy will be first placed on the tax list and duplicated in 2010 for collection in calendar year 2011.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and will remain open until 7:30 p.m. of said day.
