Carol
Armitage has been the 911 Director for Defiance County Communications since the
opening of the new center in 1997. Carol is responsible for the day to day
operation of the computer and radio systems, addressing, personnel and budget.
She began her career in Communications at the Dekalb County Sheriff's Office in
Auburn, Indiana where she worked as a jail officer, dispatcher, and shift
supervisor for seven years. Carol is currently the Vice President of the Ohio
Chapter of the National Emergency Number Association, is a member of the
Association of Public Safety Officials and the Local Emergency Planning
Committee. Carol resides in Hicksville, with her husband Tim and their four
children.
