Anita Thompson has been employed with the Defiance County Sheriff's Office since 1979, starting as a full-time Road Deputy, and currently serving as a an Associate Deputy and an E-911 Communications Officer. Anita also provides transcription services for the Sheriff's Office. In 2002 Anita was named Employee of the year. She is also a member of the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association and the National Sheriff's Associaton.
