Anita Thompson has been employed with the Defiance County Sheriff's Office since 1979, starting as a full-time Road Deputy, then going to Dispatching and she is now currently serving as an Associate Deputy.   Anita also provides transcription services for the Sheriff's Office. In 2002 Anita was named Employee of the year. She is a member of the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association and the National Sheriff's Association.
