INVESTIGATIONS

The Investigative unit of the Defiance County Sheriff's Office is an extension of the Patrol Division. The unit is staffed by Sergeant Cliff Vandemark and Deputies Ginna Waxler and Steven Mueller.  The Investigative unit is responsible for the investigation of criminal cases that require significant resources and man hours. The unit is also responsible for the investigation of crimes involving the abuse of children. Deputy Mueller is specially trained in the areas of computer crimes and forensic analysis of digital evidence.
