Sergeant Dan Crites has been with the Defiance County Sheriff's Office since 1999. Prior to that, Dan served with the Defiance County Associate Deputies, earning Associate Deputy of the Year in 1998.   After serving as a road patrol deputy, Dan was promoted to Sergeant, earning Deputy of the year in 2009. He enjoys horse racing, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his family.
