Notice is hereby given that in
pursuance to a resolution adopted on December, 10, 2007 by the Board of Trustees of
Washington Township, there will be submitted to the electors of said district at an
election to be held in that district at the regular places of voting therein, on
Tuesday, March 4, 2008, the question of levying a tax in excess of the ten-mill
limitation for the benefit of Washington Township for the purpose of
general construction , reconstruction and repair of streets, roads and
bridges, at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each one dollar of valuation which
amounts to twenty cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years.
Said tax constitutes a renewal levy. If
a majority of the voters voting thereon vote in favor thereof, that levy will be
first placed on the tax list and duplicated in 2008 for collection in calendar year
2009.
The polls for the election will be
open at 6:30 a.m. and will remain open until 7:30 p.m. of said day.
