2008 Werlor Collection at the Parks

Each year per the contract with the City of Defiance, Werlor Recycling offers free residential dumping at the following city parks: Kingsbury, Diehl, Bronson and Latty Grove. Only residents of the city of Defiance are allowed to dump for free and must show proof of residency with a driver’s license or utility bill.

The Defiance County Environmental Services provides assistance at the parks by helping the citizens unload their vehicles and contacting Werlor when the container is full. April 26th, 2008 was a very busy day for all with nine containers being filled and taken to the Defiance County Landfill. Over 360 cy of waste was hauled.

Kingsbury park was manned by Public Works Crew Supervisor, Pete Simonis, Diehl Park, Public Works Crew Supervisor, Marvin Hageman, Latty Grove park by Intermittent Employee, Ron Dingus and Bronson Park by Maintenance, Lochman Brattan.
