Help Me Grow Program Highlights 

1.)  What is Help Me Grow?

Help Me Grow is a program for expectant parents, newborns, infants and toddlers.  The program provides health and development services so that children start school healthy and ready to learn.

2.)  Why was HMG started?

The first years of a child's life are critical in building developmental skills that are building blocks for further and later development.  HMG was started as a prevention method to screen newborns, infants and toddlers in order to make sure they are staying on track developmentally.

3.)  How can you get services if you are interested?

Call the Help Me Grow office at 419.782.6934 or stop in.  The address is: 500 Court St., Suite F (near the Defiance County Court House).

4.)  Who may be interested in services?

• Anyone with a question about their child's development
• Anyone who would like more information about programs and services available to children and families in Defiance County
• You would like more information or support about day-to-day challenges of caring for your infant or toddler
• You are concerned that your child is a little behind other children his/her age
• Your baby was born with a medical condition or prematurely
• Your doctor has recommended Early Intervention

The great thing about the Help Me Grow Program is that we have all of the services working together so the family doesn't have to do the calling, leg work, etc...the group works together to give the child and family the services needed to help the child get on track or stay on track.  It is completely voluntary and the family decides what goals they want to set and what concerns they may have, and the program is tailored around that.
