Job & Family Services
Defiance/Paulding Consolidated Job and Family Services formed in October 2013 from an integration of each county's Job and Family Services agencies. We combined our efforts to administer various Federally and State funded programs to benefit our communities. We assist families with economic supports, job seeking and training assistance, investigating child and elder abuse and neglect, foster care, adoption, and various Medicaid programs.
Applications for public assistance can be made online at https://odjfsbenefits.ohio.gov, by calling and requesting an application be mailed to you, or by picking one up at either of our JFS offices. In person interviews are no longer required, so your eligibility interview can be completed over the phone. Income and resource limits do apply, depending upon the program(s) you're interested in.
Federal law and policies of the U.S. Department of Agriculture prohibit the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and a Defiance/Paulding consolidated JFS from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, religion, or political beliefs.
