Jane M. Tadsen
County Recorder Jane M. Tadsen was born in Hancock County, became a resident in Defiance County at the age of 7, and has resided here since. She is a graduate of Defiance High School.
Jane worked in the Recorder's Office for ten years as a Deputy Recorder and has since been elected County Recorder for four terms. She began her fifth term January of 2001.
The record keeping in the Recorder's Office is very important to her and she takes great pride in the efficient way they are indexed and kept.
Through computer innovations and sound administration, Jane Tadsen's leadership has made the office and its records accessible and user friendly to the public. She believes in combining technology with old-fashioned common sense to better serve the public.
