DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

THURSDAY, JANUARY 5, 2012

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the Hicksville Village Council Room, Hicksville, Ohio. Vice-Chairman Otto L. Nicley called the meeting to order. Also present were Commissioners James E. Harris, Jr. and Thomas L. Kime, Laura Howell, Administrator, and Stephanie Metz, Clerk.

The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed various resolutions, contracts and documents. The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed upcoming meetings.

Laura Howell, Administrator, met with the Commissioners to provide her weekly update. Laura reported that there are currently 99 residents, plus the Belden’s residents hooked up to the Auglaize River Sewer Project.

Tim Houck, Defiance County Landfill Director, met with the Commissioners for the bid opening for one (1) New D8R 2003 High Track Undercarriage Replacement. Bids were received from J & C Repair in the amount of $55,380.75 and Ohio CAT in the amount of $52,678.99. The Commissioners took the bids under advisement and will award at a later date.

The Commissioners met with Marlene Goodwin, Defiance County Auditor, to discuss budget.
