DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

MONDAY, MARCH 5, 2007

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2007 in the Conference Room in the Commissioners Office at 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio 43512. Vice-Chairman Thomas L. Kime called the meeting to order. Also present were Commissioner James E. Harris, Jr., Becky Wagner, County Administrator and Joanne Goerlitz, Deputy Clerk.

General Session – The Commissioners were presented with various resolutions and documents for approval. The Commissioners reviewed agenda items, discussed upcoming meetings, and reviewed and updated the calendar of events.

Greg Reinhart, Director of Wastewater Operations, met with the Commissioners to discuss discharging pond water into the County Sewer System in Defiance County. Mr. Reinhart also presented for approval certifications of unpaid past due sewer bills to the County Tax Role.

Warren Schlatter, Defiance County Engineer, met with the Commissioners. Mr. Schlatter presented and reviewed with the Board his accumulated revenue through February, 2007.

The Commissioners traveled to Putnam County today to attend the CCAO Regional Legislative Briefings. The purpose of the meeting is to provide legislators and county commissioners with an opportunity to discuss legislative issues affecting county government on a regional basis.
