DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

THURSDAY, MARCH 29, 2012

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in the Conference Room in the Commissioners Office at 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio 43512. Chairman Thomas L. Kime called the meeting to order. Also present were Commissioner James E. Harris, Jr., Laura Howell, Administrator, Stephanie Metz, Clerk, and Lanie Miller, Deputy Clerk.

The Commissioners had a light agenda.

The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed various resolutions, contracts and documents. The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed upcoming meetings.

Laura Howell, Administrator, met with the Board to provide her weekly update with various department and project updates. Laura informed the Board that 174 residents have hooked up to the Auglaize River Sewer System.

The meeting with Tim Houck, Defiance County Environmental Services/Landfill Director, was cancelled due to other commitments of Mr. Houck.

On Wednesday, March 28, 2012 the Commissioners, Administrator Laura Howell, and Job & Family Services Director Jack Graf met the Paulding County Commissioners at the Paulding County Job & Family Services Office to take a tour of the facility and to see how the office is managed.

On Friday, March 30, 2012 the Commissioners, along with Paulding County Commissioners and Henry County Commissioners, are attending the M & W Railroad Working Group Meeting, hosted by Spence Wendlin, at Napoleon City Building.
