said bid will be awarded at a Joint Board of Commissioners meeting scheduled
for Monday, April 28, 2008 at Paulding County Commissioner’s office.
The Commissioners
attended a Joint Board of Commissioners of Defiance and Williams Counties
meeting at the Defiance County EMA building to make a determination on the Lick
Creek Ditch project. All six (6) County
Commissioners were in
attendance as well as landowners and other interested
parties. The Defiance County Commissioners voted to proceed with
the project and the Williams County Commissioners voted not to proceed. As the
vote was a 3-3 tie, the project has failed and will not proceed any further
under the current petition.
