DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

MONDAY, MAY 7, 2012

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 in the Conference Room in the Commissioners Office at 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio 43512. Chairman Thomas L. Kime called the meeting to order. Also present were Commissioners Otto L. Nicely and James E. Harris, Jr., Laura Howell, Administrator, Stephanie Metz, Clerk, and Lanie Miller, Deputy Clerk.

The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed various resolutions, contracts and documents. The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed upcoming meetings.

The Commissioners approved the following contracts: DG Slurry Seal of Toledo, Inc. – 2012 Microsurfacing; SFY 2013 Foster Care Placement and Residential Treatment Services for Youth Contract between Defiance County JFS and The Marsh Foundation and Inner Peace Homes, Inc.

Julie Voll, Defiance County Family and Children First/Help Me Grow, met with the Commissioners for an update. Julie informed the Board that at the Early Childhood screenings there were 36 children screened at Hicksville and 89 children screened at Defiance. The current Help Me Grow caseload is 57.

Warren Schlatter, Defiance County Engineer, met with the Commissioners for an update. Warren presented his 2012 Accumulated Revenue Report for April 2012. The accumulated revenue is $1,366,839.15, compared to $1,369,641.03 in 2011.
