DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

THURSDAY, JUNE 14, 2007

 

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 8:30 a.m., in the Conference Room of the Defiance County Commissioners, 500 Court Street, Defiance, OH 43512.  Commissioner Otto L. Nicely called the meeting to order.  Also present were Commissioners Thomas Kime and James Harris, Jr., Becky Wagner, County Administrator, Joanne Goerlitz, Acting Clerk and Sherry Carnahan, Deputy Clerk.     

 

General Session – The Commissioners were presented with various resolutions and documents for approval.  The Commissioners reviewed agenda items, discussed upcoming meetings, reviewed and updated the calendar of events.

 

Becky Wagner – County Administrator, presented the Board with her weekly update. She reported that Sine’s Excavating will be modifying the canoe ramp at West High Street to make it more accessible.

 

Larry Woods – First Insurance and Investment was in to update the Board on the CORSA renewal policy.

 

The Joint Boards of Defiance and Williams Counties met to award the Lost Creek Improvement bid to Sines Excavating in the amount of $163,175.00. They also approved the joint ditch maintenance assessments to be placed upon the tax duplicates for 2008.

 

Mike Boff, Soil & Water, reported the Mattock Ditch project has been completed. This is located in the Carpenter/Mekus Road area.
