COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2007
The Board of Defiance County Commissioners
met in regular session on Monday,
October 1, 2007 8:30 a.m., in the
Conference Room of the Defiance County Commissioners,
500 Court Street, Defiance, OH 43512.
Chairman Otto L. Nicely called the meeting to order. Also present were Commissioners Thomas L.
Kime and James E. Harris, Jr., Cara Brown, Clerk and Joanne Goerlitz, Deputy
Clerk.
General Session – The Commissioners were presented with various
resolutions and documents for approval.
The Commissioners reviewed agenda items, and discussed upcoming meetings
and events.
Warren Schlatter, Defiance County Engineer, met with the Commissioners
to provide an update. Warren
advised that Beerbower Road, west
of Cicero Road,
and Mulligans Bluff Road, north
of State Route 18, were reopened last week. Work will begin on Blosser Road West
of 127 for a culvert replacement. The grading and seeding of Blosser Road, between Flickinger and
Mulligan’s Bluff Roads, has almost been completed.
Jack Graf, Director of Job and Family Services, met with the Commissioners
to discuss the Preventing, Retention and Contingency Plan (PRC) for Defiance
County Job and Family Services. The Commissioners approved the plan.
Dennis Miller, Maumee Valley
Planning Organization, met with the Commissioners to request an approval to
award the bid and enter into contract for the Washington Township Flood &
Drainage Facilities to St. Regis Culvert for the pipe and True Grade
Landscaping, LLC for the labor. The work will be done on Behnfeldt Road, between Scott Road and the Defiance-Williams County line. The Commissioners approved
the request.
