The Board of
General Session – The Commissioners were presented with various
resolutions and documents for approval.
The Commissioners reviewed agenda items, and discussed upcoming meetings
and events.
Laura also advised that the Maintenance Department has inspected and
filled the steam boilers at the Courthouse and Annex for the upcoming winter
season. The maintenance department has also repaired a compressor and fan motor
on the air conditioning unit at Evergreen Lane Office Complex.
Tim also reported the yearly/monthly cubic yards comparison for 2007 is
52,157 vs. 31,213 for this same time in 2006.
The yearly/monthly tons comparison submitted for 2007 is 10,224.66 tons
vs. 8,679.69 tons in September 2006. The
leachate monthly gallon total for the month of September is 96,285.00.
Isaac Lee, Assistant Economic Development Director, met with the
Commissioners to review the Tax Incentive Review Committee’s Enterprise (TIRC)
recommendations for the Enterprise Zone Agreements. It was recommended that
forty-six (46) agreements be continued and three (3) be amended. Two (2)
agreements have expired. The Commissioners accepted the recommendations.
The Commissioners will be participating in the Lions Club 2007 Halloween
parade in downtown
The Final Hearing for the Farmer-Mark Ditch Tile project will be held on
Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Farmer Fire Hall.
