DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2007

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. in the Hicksville Village Council Room, Hicksville, Ohio on Thursday, November 1, 2007. Chairman Otto L. Nicely called the meeting to order. Also present was Commissioner Thomas L. Kime and Cara Brown, Clerk. Commissioner James E. Harris, Jr. and Laura Howell, County Administrator, were absent.

General Session – The Commissioners were presented with various resolutions and documents for approval. The Commissioners reviewed agenda items, and discussed upcoming meetings and events.

The Commissioners met with Warren Schlatter, County Engineer, and Jeff Timbrook, County Highway Superintendent, out at the County Highway Garage to inspect the county snow plows. Warren then took the Commissioners out in the County to look at various road and bridge projects that the Engineer’s office has worked on over the last year.

Greg Reinhart, Wastewater Director, met with the Commissioners in Executive Session to discuss hiring personnel. Executive Session ended with no decision being made.

The Commissioners met Ron Cereghin, Maintenance Supervisor, at Defiance County East to discuss replacing trees that were removed and planting additional trees.
