DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

MONDAY, MARCH 25, 2013

 

 

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013 in the Conference Room in the Commissioners’ Office at 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio 43512.  Chairman Otto L. Nicely called the meeting to order.  Also present were Commissioners James E. Harris, Jr. and Thomas L. Kime, Laura Howell, Administrator, Stephanie Metz, Clerk, and Angelica Abels, Deputy Clerk.

 

The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed various resolutions, contracts and documents.  The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed upcoming meetings.

 

The Commissioners approved a contract with K&P Medical Transport Ltd for Defiance County Department of Job and Family Services for motor vehicle service for citizens of Defiance County requiring transport to and from doctor's offices and clinics for treatment.

 

Lanie Lambert, Defiance County Records Center Director, met with the Commissioners for a quarterly update. Lanie reported that there were 318 records requests, $208.21 in revenue for copies and certification fees, and 22 new boxes and/or books of records taken in from January 1, 2013 through February 28, 2013.

 

Warren met with the Commissioners for his weekly update. Warren informed the Commissioners that as soon as the weather breaks, the crew will begin replacing a culvert on Trinity Road south of Bostater Road.

 

The Northwest Ohio Commissioners and Engineer’s Association Quarterly Meeting in Urbana, Ohio was cancelled.

 

On Tuesday, the Commissioners will be attending the Hicksville Rotary Annual Farm Day Luncheon at Hicksville School.
