DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2013

 

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013 in the Conference Room in the Commissioners’ Office at 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio 43512.  Chairman Otto L. Nicely called the meeting to order.  Also present were Commissioner Thomas L. Kime, Sherry Carnahan, Finance Manager/Administrator, and Stephanie Metz, Clerk.

 

The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed various resolutions, contracts and documents. The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed upcoming meetings.  

 

The Commissioners approved an Expedited Type 2 annexation petition for 12.456 acres in Section 11 of Noble Township.

 

Due to the petition does not meeting all the requirements set forth in, and not being filed in the manner provided in the Revised Code, a petition for annexation of 0.657 acres in Richland Township was denied.

 

The Commissioners certified the August Solid Waste Disposal Submittal Forms for the Landfill facilities. Defiance Township, as the host government agency received $2,612.49. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) also received $1,728.49 for the construction & demolition debris (C&DD) waste. Monthly (MSW) Disposal fees paid to the Ohio EPA for the Defiance County Landfill was $38,472.88.

 

Due to scheduling conflicts, the meeting with Ron Cereghin, Defiance County Maintenance Supervisor, and the meeting with Paulding County Commissioners will be rescheduled to a later date and time.
