DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, 2015

 

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on THursday, January 15, 2015 in the Conference Room in the Commissioners’ Office at 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, Ohio 43512. Commissioner Thomas L. Kime called the meeting to order.  Also present were Commissioners Otto L. Nicely, and Ryan Mack, and Sherry Carnahan, Finance Manager/Administrator, and Stephanie Metz, Clerk,.

 

The Commissioners met in General Session and approved and signed various resolutions, contracts and documents. The Commissioners also reviewed the calendar of events and discussed upcoming meetings.

 

The Defiance County Commissioners, together and individually, serve on many committees and boards and attend many meetings throughout the calendar year. The Defiance County Commissioners have agreed to the following designations:

The Commissioners certified the December Solid Waste Disposal Submittal Forms for the Landfill facilities. Defiance Township, as the host government agency received $1,938.95. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) also received $1,276.51 for the construction & demolition debris (C&DD) waste. Monthly (MSW) Disposal fees paid to the Ohio EPA for the Defiance County Landfill was $30,603.41. The Four County Solid Waste District received $10,189.87.

 

The Commissioners met with the Village of Hicksville representatives to discuss the Hicksville Industrial Drive Extension project.

 

Ken Maag, Poggemeyer Design Group, and Greg Reinhart, Defiance County Wastewater Operations Director, met with the Commissioners to discuss the proposed 2015 contract with Poggemeyer Design Group for Sanitary Engineering services. The contract amount is for a maximum of $7,000.00.
