2008 Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Congratulations on another successful HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) Day, held on October 18, 2008 between 10 A.M. and 2 P.M at Johns Manville Plant 8 located on Carpenter Road.

Special thanks to the Defiance College Men’s Baseball Team who’s members volunteered and provided the manual labor for unloading, characterizing and opening of the waste that was dropped off.
We unloaded a total of 109 vehicles from four local counties and disposed of approximately 1,875 waste containers and their contents. The following summary tables demonstrate what a benefit this service is to the local community and why this day is so important.
