Defiance County Veterans Directory

Defiance County has made a commitment to honor the county armed forces veterans by collecting and preserving a written history of their service. This has evolved into a searchable database that is housed on a computer at the Defiance County Library. This database includes information on veterans of all eras who were born in, lived in, died in, or were buried in Defiance County.

The database includes veterans who served in:

• Local militias
• State National Guard
• Federal branches of service (active duty and reserve)

The database can be searched by:

• Prisoner of war status
• Medal of Honor recipient
• Male/female veterans
