Associate Deputies
The Defiance County Associate Deputies are an organization made up of men and women who serve the Sheriff as part-time and occasional law enforcement officers. Associate Deputies are sworn, schooled personnel, vested with full arrest powers. Duties of Associate Deputies include, working the County Fair, security at local ball games, and road patrol. Defiance County Associate Deputies also work numerous security details and special functions during the year. Members of the Associate Deputies also serve in the Marine Patrol, and are an always available resource during times of need.
