• Driver's License/Photo ID
• Check or EXACT Cash
• Address where the results are to be sent
• ORC (Ohio Revised Code) Job/Authorized Reason Code

Results could take up to 30 days to be sent from BCI/FBI

Background Check

A local background check can be done, free of charge, at the Defiance County Sheriff's Office. Hours for local background checks are Monday through Friday 8:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:00. No appointment necessary.

This check is for activity that the requestor may have with our agency only. This does not show any other information for Ohio (BCI), Nationwide (FBI), or any court disposition.
